I think that most of us would agree that every dog deserves a home but not everybody feels that way. Unfortunately, there are some dogs that are mistreated and perhaps even abandoned.

This was recently seen in Greece when a stray dog was found hiding in the garbage.

Dogs are abandoned far too often and, at times, the outcome isn’t positive. Thanks to DAR Animal Rescue, however, this pooch got a second chance and is now living a better life.

It happened when a woman saw where the dog was hiding and felt sorry for him because he was weak and it was cold and raining. In fact, the dog couldn’t even stand up on his own.

Our hearts really go out to any dog in need, but if we see something like this, we feel that any responsible person would say something. Even if they were not able to care for the pup on their own, they could reach out to someone that could and that is what this kindhearted person did.

When Ermione arrived from DAR Animal Rescue, she took a blanket and wrapped the dog up to keep him warm. She also used the blanket so she could carry the dog to her car. The dog was in such bad shape that they named him Casper because he was white and frail.

Casper was taken to the veterinarian, and fortunately, he didn’t have any serious diseases but he was extremely malnourished. Rescuers were able to find Casper a foster family and it took some special care, but Casper is quickly getting back on his feet again.
