Food trucks are a fun dining experience. And they’re not just enjoyable for humans, dogs can also enjoy a tasty treat or two thanks to Woofbowl.
Woofbowl is a food truck that caters entirely to dogs. And the best part is these doggie foods are totally organic and non-GMO, plus they are free from preservatives or artificial flavors.
But perhaps the coolest thing about these foods – which are also high in protein – is that they look exactly like replicas of human food, only they’ve been tailored to meet a dog’s nutritional requirements.

As the food truck itself has stated, “Yes, we’re a food truck that exclusively serves dogs and the difference is in our treats. Our menu items look remarkably like human food truck items, such as burgers, ice cream, and beer, but the gag is they are healthy dog treats made from premium, human-grade, whole food, dog-friendly & superfood ingredients that even you can eat. Don’t worry we won’t judge if we catch you taking a bite.”
The wonderful idea for Woofbowl dates back to 2017, when Ron and Solo Holloway, a husband and wife pair, came up with the business idea. Ron is a veteran and Solo is a refugee who escaped from the Khmer Rouge regime. Both suffered from PTSD, and as a result, they worked with dogs in order to manage their symptoms.
Then, in 2011, they acquired two French Bulldogs of their own: Latto and Dino. The doting dog parents soon noticed a change for the better in their pups after switching their diet to a raw diet. This is where they came up with the idea of a food truck that serves healthy dog “fast food” treats.
It was through Woofbowl that they’ve been able to spread more awareness about dog nutrition. And since starting their Woofbowl truck in Washington, DC, the couple has traveled around, even visiting New York City, making stops in Brooklyn, Manhattan, and even some in New Jersey!
What do you think of Woofbowl? Would you want to take your dog to get food from this truck? Have you ever gotten your dog a treat from this food truck? Let us know!
