New Study Reveals the U.S. States Where Vets are Currently Most in Demand
A new study has revealed Colorado as the state where veterinarians are most in demand. The analysis, conducted by canine supplement provider PetLab, looked at the number of Google searches for the 10 most common search terms relating to animal hospitals and veterinarian care. They then looked at the number of monthly searches in each state and compared it to population size in order to determine how many searches were made per 100,000 residents. Biofilms and How They Affect Your Dog or Cat
We hear a lot about biofilms these days, but what exactly are they, and what impact can they have on your dog or cat’s health and well-being? Biofilms are a collective of one or more types of reproducing microorganisms that form a colony or community. These microorganisms can include bacteria, viruses, algae, yeast, protozoa, and fungi. Biofilms exist everywhere in our environment, including on metals, plastics and soil particles, and in and on our bodies and those of our dogs and cats. We encounter biofilms daily in the form of dental...

Learn how acupressure can help keep your dog or cat calm during fireworks. Fireworks are a popular way to celebrate events depending on the country and culture. Young, Malnourished Street Kitty that Got a Chance at Indoor Life is Sold on the Idea Now
Meet 9-month-old Tamarind, a special shy boy who is learning indoor life after living most of his existence on the streets. Malnourished and sick, his rescuers at Southern Arizona Cat Rescue in Tucson thought he was a kitten when he arrived at just 2 pounds! Upon further examination, however, it was discovered that he had all of his adult teeth in, putting the kibosh on that theory. Photo: SACatRescue Tamarind is healthy now, per his vet, but this petite boy still has a sensitive tummy and can be a bit of a shy eater. With time and patience,...
