Cats are notorious for hating water. They bathe themselves with their tongues, lap up water from a bowl or stream, and call it a day.
They don’t enjoy swimming or getting wet, so when a cat is forced to take a bath, it can become a real challenge. Even celebrities like Jennifer Garner struggle to bathe their feline pets.
But every once and a while, a cat just needs a good bath, regardless of if they like it or not. Some cats find their ways to protest getting a bath, by scratching their owners or fighting back.

But one furry feline found a clever solution to show his dislike of the water: by turning it off!
In a short clip that went viral online, the cat can be seen being held in the sink as someone uses a cup to pour water from the tap over the cat’s fur. The cat is clearly uncomfortable, and he makes it known that he’s ready for the bathe to end.

As the woman is filling the cup, the slides his paw over the water faucet, and pushes it off!
“Don’t turn off the water,” you can hear the woman saying. “No, I told you not to turn it off.”
The cat continues to push the water back up, each time the woman turns it back on.

It’s a clever and hilarious way to protest, but the cat’s owners might not think so.
