Growing up, I had a cat named Patch. He was the runt of the litter and was quite small for a male cat. He was almost always misgendered by people in our neighborhood who thought he was a girl cat because of his small size.
Regardless of how little he might have been, he was actually the toughest cat on the block. No other cats wanted to cross paths with him – especially this one cat across the street who was his mortal enemy for some reason.
That is the thing about cats. They have a sweet and soft side to them, but they can also be vicious towards those other cats that they’ve deemed to be their nemesis.
As cat owners, we can’t ever really say why one cat or another becomes our kitty’s public enemy number one, it’s just a part of the feline dynamic. For one cat, in particular, seeing his nemesis at his door sends him into kitty hysterics that his owner managed to get on camera.
Jacob is a beautiful grey cat living in Russia, who is going about his day like normal – until he sees his neighborhood nemesis. The other cat is staring in at him from outside, and Jacob just can’t take it.
In the footage that Jacob’s owner filmed, we see the confrontation go down between the two cats. In typical cat form, the standoff involves lots of yowling. Only, this is quite different on Jacob’s part. It’ almost sounds as if he is speaking!
In the video, the cat can be heard making noises that sound close to human talk. Granted, he’s not actually using words but the funny sounds he’s making lend themselves to the imagination.
It’s almost like he’s trying to say “I’m going to get you.” And his enemy is right on the other side of the glass probably saying the same exact thing back to him.
Check out Jacob’s confrontation in the video footage below:
