Contrary to popular belief, cats and dogs can definitely get along and live in harmony. Granted, this isn’t always perfect harmony.
Cats are known to be quite independent, and if you happen to have both cats and dogs in your home, you’re well aware of how much cats value their alone time.
It’s not to say that they don’t enjoy hanging out with the family pooch, but they certainly like to keep their distance from time to time.
Cats tend to be quite precious when it comes to their selected napping spots – particularly their beds. It’s typical to see cats bully their way into a dog’s bed, but you hardly ever see it the other way around. Our dogs just seem to know that a cat’s bed is just a line that is not to be crossed. No matter how big the dog might be, the cat is always the boss.
However, there was one very brave little rescue pooch that decided a nap in the cat’s bed was worth the risk! Talk about nerves of steel.
The adorable mini Peaches, a rescued Chihuahua, went where no dog has dared before: the cat’s bed. And not only did Peaches get into the family cat’s bed, but she did it while the cat was sleeping inside!
Peaches seemed determined to have a cuddle with Samuel the cat, and she wasn’t going to let the large feline intimidate her.
The animals’ owner, TikTokker @leafygarnish, caught it all on camera. All we can say is wow, Peaches is quite the brave pooch!
She approaches the situation with great consideration and caution. In fact, she’s carefully backing up into the bed as if she’s pretending that she’s not actually attempting to get into the forbidden spot.
Samuel didn’t look the least bit impressed with her boldness, however, he didn’t kick her out. Samuel appears to protest at first, but Peaches persists. She pauses for a moment after Samuel meows at her but then manages to make herself small enough to fit into the corner of the bed.
It was such a cute and funny video that it went viral on TikTok, receiving several million views in the process.
