Most of us realize that it is a good idea to recycle. We live in a throwaway world, and far too many people simply toss items that could be reused into the trash heap.

Then again, recycling has become a part of many communities around the world, and that includes in the area of Nuneaton, Warwickshire.

In one home in England, there is a border collie that is on a mission and it is one that we love hearing and seeing.

Scruff the border collie seems to have a love of recycling. When on a walk with David and Yvonne, his humans, he will often pick up plastic bottles and take them back home. Those bottles are taken off of the streets and put right into the recycling bin.

According to SWNS, when Scruff first started picking up bottles on their walks, he would hold onto them for a while and eventually, put them down again.

David and Yvonne weren’t sure what to do with this unique fixation on plastic bottles, but they had a plan and it worked out.

When 13-year-old Scruff picks up a plastic bottle, they make sure that it ends up getting recycled. They’ve even kept track of how many bottles Scruff has picked up so far.
