If you’re a pet parent, chances are you’ve celebrated your pets’ birthdays before. You’ve probably even gotten them a cake of some kind for the festivities.

I mean, a birthday party wouldn’t be complete without cake, right? For most pet parents, a birthday cake for your pet probably consists of a fun shape like a bone if you own a dog or a fish if you own a cat.

If you do select an animal-shaped cake, the proportions are probably cartoonish to a degree and upon looking at it, one immediately knows that they’re looking at a cake.

But one pet parent requested a rather realistic cake in the shape of their bulldog, Dave. And the baker who made it, Lara Mason of Cake Anything, really knocked it out of the park!

The baker is known for sharing some rather amazing creations on her TikTok, and one of them that was featured was that of Dave the dog in cake form.

According to the baker, Dave’s owner came to her with a rather tall order: create a realistic dog cake. And not just realistic, but “anatomically correct” as well! It’s safe to say that she delivered. Mason used her baking expertise to come up with something that looks like a replica of Dave the Bulldog.

Mason did an amazing job bringing the pooch to life in his little sailor suit, which was an adorable touch to the entire cake creation.

Besides the impressive skills shown in creating the birthday cake, Mason also shared some insight into the behind-the-scenes that went into creating the cake.
