Ding-dong! Anyone home?
I have a package for you that’s wrapped in… fur?
It’s any pet owner’s worst nightmare to witness their fur baby wander away from home and have no power to stop it.
A family living in Colorado employed a contractor to do some repair work on their home and while they were busy with the repairs, the family took the time to go out of town when this incident happened.
“Our contractor left to go to lunch and he shut the front door, and the wind blew the door open while he was gone, and Catcher escaped,” said Lisa Menzies.
Their 3-year-old Golden Retriever, Catcher, was left behind while the Menzies were out of town, the family must have felt confident that Catcher was in good hands with their contractor. Unfortunately, accidents happen and Catcher used this opportunity to explore the world outside her home.
Catcher lets her curious nature take over and left the house with no care in the world. Lucky for everyone involved, a good samaritan dressed in a FedEx uniform saw Catcher wandering in the neighborhood and decided to check on the adventurous dog.
“He just said, ‘I found your dog, and the address on her tag is where I’m going to take her’ and then he put her in the house with such care,” Lisa said.
And the way that this FedEx driver delivered Catcher would make you think that he owns the dog. With the fluffy bundle in his arms, the FedEx driver carefully carried Catcher from his van, dropped her off inside the house, and made sure that the door was closed and locked properly before leaving. Of course, the driver didn’t forget to say one important thing to Catcher before leaving as well.
“Good dog,” he said.
The FedEx driver has been dubbed the Menzies family’s hero. Bless this good samaritan!
