A giant senior horse from Colby’s Rescue Crew is having the time of his life — he has beers during every meal and a personal massage gun. Anyone would feel jealous of how comfortable Big John’s ranch life is. The senior horse is pretty much pampered and a known bachelor on the ranch.

“He does enjoy hanging out with Cotton, the miniature donkey, which is pretty hilarious because they’re totally opposite sizes,” shares Allison from Colby’s Rescue Crew. Big John likes to spend time with his friends, but a girlfriend is out of the picture. He seems to be picky, and any mare close to him wasn’t able to catch his attention.

Allison thinks that Big John is definitely picky when choosing a girlfriend. The team consistently introduced him to a lot of female horses — none of them succeeded in winning Big John’s heart. Not until a beautiful mare named Stardust arrived on Colby’s Rescue Crew farm in Virginia.

As soon as the team brought Stardust to Big John’s field, he immediately expressed interest. The friendly action was unlikely of Big John — it was said that the stallion rarely interacts with the other horses. Everyone was quite surprised with what they saw — shocked at how Big John perked up at first sight.

“We let them settle in for a couple of days to see if they would become friends,” Allison continues to share the budding relationship between lovely horses. After a few days, the two are always seen together — even doing the senior shuffle while walking along the fields. You’ll see Big John being clearly whipped for Stardust in the video. The beautiful old couple has found each other at the perfect time.

Big John might enjoy a beer with his meal, but Stardust won’t even take a whiff of the beverage. Despite the differences, the old couple loves to be in each other’s company. Allison and the whole Colby’s Rescue Crew are happy for Big John — they are also grateful that they could provide a place for them to treat as a home.
