A video of the encounter between two men in India shows that one had run over the paw of a stray dog with his scooter.

The other man scoops the pup into his arms and looks at his injured paw, and in response, the man with the scooter begins to laugh at him, calling him crazy.

Others around him laugh at him too; touching stray dogs is an unusual thing for ordinary people to do in this area.

“Why are you calling me crazy for taking care of this pup who is hurt? It is our duty to protect and love innocent animals who cannot speak and are at the mercy of humans for food and shelter. The man reportedly went on to say:
