Xherdan, an 8-year-old sphynx cat from Rüti, Switzerland makes quite the first impression.
“Most people are a little bit scared of Xherdan at first, but then when they meet him they love him!” explains his owner, Sandra Filippi in an interview with The Sun.
“Xherdan is a very active cat and he talks a great deal, in all pitches, when he is excited, when he is hungry, when he plays or while cuddling and falling asleep, he is like a child and his character is very lovely,” she explained.
Although his appearance is a bit alien, Xherdan is your typical cat — he loves to nap in the sun, get his way, and, of course, be adored by his family and fans on social media.
With more than 40,000 followers on Instagram, his unique appearance definitely attracts attention!
Being a sphynx does come with its challenges, however.
The breed is vulnerable to heart issues and often needs assistance keeping their coat, nails, and eyes clean. Still, caring for Xherdan is something that Filippi loves.
It was love at first sight, once she saw his totally unusual appearance.
