Toddlers are often seen carrying around a blankie for comfort but usually give it up around the age of three. However, the same cannot be said for a sweet Labrador retriever who carries her blankie everywhere she goes.
The 3-year-old lab named Winnie lives in Canada with her family and has multiple blankies. They go everywhere with her, including in the pool and outside in the snow. Thank goodness she has extras, so when one is in the wash or left outdoors, she always has one to carry around.
Just like all well-loved blankies, Winnie’s favorites have a few holes.
Can you guess what she gets for Christmas and her birthday? You’re right, a blanket!
Her mom, Meg, started an Instagram page for the adorable pup to share Winnie’s blanket obsession and spread joy.
It is clear to see how much the lab loves her blankets and she is often pictured smiling.
The certified good girl has over 22k followers and the number continues to grow. Her favorite things (besides her blankie) are going for a swim in the lake, playing with her canine brother named Moose, and sunbathing on the deck.
I have a feeling Winnie is not going to outgrow her love and need for a blankie, which is fine by me.
Experts urge parents to allow their children to hold onto their blankie or stuffed animal for as long as they want. They say they need them for a certain reason and are compared to adults who are nostalgic for certain heirlooms.
Be sure to follow Winnie on Instagram and TikTok for more adorable photos and videos.
