Biss and Olee are best friends — the pair love to roam and play on the Oklahoma farm where they live.
What makes their friendship extra special is the fact that Biss is a huge, 150 pound Newfoundland, and Olee is a tiny 5-pound duck!
The pair became friends in the Spring of 2020 after Biss was adopted by the farm’s owner, Jessie Vallier.
“During Covid shut down we decided we ‘needed’ a 3rd Newf in our life. We always wanted a brown bear and I reached to our favorite rescue to let her know we were up for another. Little did we know in the weeks to come we would tragically lose one of our girls. Biss came into our lives shortly after and helped this mama heal. I’m thankful for his sweet spirit, his patience and his love for our boys. Not to mention all the laughs he brings us and really everyone when he is with his duck,” she wrote on Instagram.
The two took an instant liking to each other.
Olee “is the funniest little creature and we are so thankful to witness his friendship with Biss. He truly believes he is a dog, he is sweet and sassy, and loves to be a part of the family,” she added.
The two can often be found lazing around in a kiddie pool, chasing each other, and even playing fetch!
It’s all turned into something worthy of a children’s book — which is why Vallier decided to write one herself!
The pair’s first book, “Play on the Farm,” is releasing soon.
Keep up with the pair’s adventures on Instagram or TikTok!
