Calling all women who love that “bad boy” personality…

Meet Willie.

This adorable six-year-old Chihuahua mix has been waiting at Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary for over a year, with little interest.

He is described as a “complicated chap”, but who isn’t?

With the holidays just around the corner, he simply wants a loving home of his own.

The shelter recently posted a plea to help Willie find his person.

The little guy is “a bit scared of the world but likes to act tough and scary,” wrote the shelter.

It will take a few times meeting him before he opens up, but once he does he is an affectionate and playful pup. He doesn’t let the fact that he is missing an eye slow him down. The tiny dog is super athletic and does well on the agility course.

However, he will need a home with people who can set clear boundaries and not baby him.

“Willie does have some guarding issues which will need to be worked on in the home. He likes to keep his special people all to himself so a quiet adult only home is a must with no visiting children,” advised the shelter.

In addition, he must be the only pet. “Willie will need a pet free home because the love and treats must only be eaten by him!!”

The tough guy has a hard time making friends with men so his ideal home would be one with only females. While he has a long list of requirements, the shelter knows his special person is out there.

If you are unable to adopt Willie, you can make sure he and all the other shelter pets have a merry Christmas by donating items off of the shelter’s Amazon Wish List.

The small UK animal shelter takes in roughly 500 animals each year and finds them loving homes. They not only rescue dogs and cats but also help rabbits. They have proudly rehomed 27,500 animals since they opened in 1967.

Be sure to share Willie’s story and adorable picture with your friends and family to help him find his forever home.

Adopt don’t shop!
