The wait is finally over.
The winners for this year’s Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards have been announced.
On Tuesday, all of the winners were declared on BBC’s The One Show.
Countless people entered the competition, but only one person could be named the overall winner.
And the winner is…
Ken Jensen for his hilarious photo of a golden silk monkey on a wire in Yunnan, China, with the caption, “ouch!”

“Although hilarious to us humans, and probably the best example of anthropomorphism, this was actually (and ironically) a show of aggression – as the male monkey warned off competing males from the female monkeys’,” posted the host of the competition.
Aside from the prestigious title of “2021 Comedy Wildlife Photographer of the Year”, Jensen won a handmade trophy and a one-week safari trip in Kenya.
But he wasn’t the only winner.
There were five category winners and a people’s choice, that differed from the judges.
Alex Walker’s Serian Creatures on the Land Award
Arthur Trevino won this category with Ninja Prairie Dog.
“When this Bald Eagle missed on its attempt to grab this prairie dog, the prairie dog jumped towards the eagle and startled it long enough to escape to a nearby burrow. A real David vs Goliath story!.”

Creatures Under the Sea Award
Otters are so entertaining, so it comes as no surprise that a photo of an otter won this category.

The winners not only captured wild animals at the right moment but also captioned the photos perfectly.
