Many dog owners enjoy spoiling their pets. They’re part of the family, so it makes sense that we’d want them to be comfortable and enjoy the finer things in life.
As an ER doctor and dog father of three, Ben Mazer knew he wanted to give his pups the best life possible so he set out to create them a really comfortable space.
Essentially, he wanted Peaches, Challah, and Mitzi to have a safe, relaxing space to hang out while he was working or away from the home. He wanted their space to be more than a kennel, but not the full range of the house.
After some thought, Mazer, who goes by @worldsbestdogdad on TikTok, decided to transform his spare bedroom into a hangout spot for his dogs.
As he shared with The Dodo, he initially planned for the room to be simple and include a few mini couches, artwork, and some plants to finish it off.
However, as he began to put the space together, he couldn’t stop there. He ended up taking things to the next level and created a “mini penthouse condo” for dogs!
The room was complete with couches, mini throw pillows, a fireplace, a working television, a coffee table, a chandelier, end tables, a fish tank, a drink cart, artwork, a bookshelf, an area rug, plants, a telescope, and wall shelving.
Everything was scaled to meet the needs of the three little dogs who’d be calling the place theirs.

Since then, he’s added drink coasters to the tables, updated the throw pillows, and even decorated for Halloween!
