So, the month of October is known as Subaru Loves Pets month and ASPCA’s Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, which are all about adopting and celebrating shelter pets.

The car company donates $100 for every pet adopted during the month to over 600 animal shelters around the country.

In 2015, Subaru and the ASPCA founded National Make A Dog’s Day to encourage people to adopt and thank dogs for all they do for us.

It is officially celebrated on October 22, and Subaru encourages all dog parents to celebrate by “doing something extra special for their dogs.”

You can make a shelter dog’s day by giving them the best present – a forever home.

National Make A Dog’s Day has already helped over 74,000 shelter pets find loving homes, including thousands of “Underdogs”.

But millions of dogs are still waiting in shelters for someone to make their day, so get a best friend and save a life by heading to your local shelter today.

Adopt don’t shop!
