A Connecticut woman witnessed a porch thief making off with her Amazon package and all she could do was laugh.

Kristin Levine received an alert that an Amazon package was delivered to her home in Bristol, but a few minutes later she received another alert that someone was at her door.

She was a “little taken aback” since she wasn’t expecting any more deliveries or visitors.

The trespasser was captured on her home security camera. A brazen black bear was seen sauntering away from the home carrying the package in its mouth.

But instead of chasing after the porch pirate, she chuckled.

Levine told NBC Connecticut, “I knew nothing in there was going to be irreplaceable so it was a fun afternoon for sure.”

She shared the hilarious footage on Facebook with the caption, “This guy just took my package! You think @amazon gives replacements for bear thieves?!?”

It turns out the bear was not impressed with the contents of the package and left it on the neighbor’s lawn. Levine told viewers that the box contained toilet paper and the jokes started to roll in.

“I can’t even make this up,” she wrote. Numerous people said the bear may have kept the toilet paper if it was Charmin.

Some thought the bear was a “repeat offender” because of the ear tags, but that doesn’t mean the bear is a troublemaker.

Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection states, “Every bear receives two ear tags (one in each ear) the first time it is handled by DEEP, regardless of why it was tagged. Most tagged bears have not been caught as problem bears, but rather as part of a project to research the state’s bear population.”

One person joked, “Does a Bear 💩 in the woods?!” to which Levine replied, “this one must!!!”

Another person wrote, “I like how casual he is about the whole thing.”

Black bears are usually shy and will stay away from humans, but bear sighting have been on the rise in Connecticut. While they are adorable, wildlife officials ask people to keep their distance and not to feed them. Bears have an amazing sense of smell and can detect food from over a mile away, so residents are advised to remove bird feeders and keep trash in a container with a tight lid.
