Being a pet parent comes with many responsibilities and concerns. They’re a part of our family. We love them, we want to keep an eye on them whenever possible to ensure that they are safe.
While we can’t hover over them all the time, there is a way of tracking where your furry friend is at all times.
One editor with CreatedTech attached the brand new Apple AirTag to his cat’s collar in an effort to see if it would be possible to always know where his beloved kitty is. He shared that he bought one out of curiosity to see whether or it was possible to attach the device to his cat’s collar.
As he explained in the video below, he just “went ahead and did it,” and then he made a video to document the entire thing.

At first, it seemed like a great idea, but then it transpired it was a little cumbersome for the cat. It got in the way of his cat’s daily actions such as eating and jumping about.
He further added, “In my opinion, it’s probably not a good idea. A, because it’s generally going to be too big for anything smaller than a dog. And B, you probably just don’t need it. Keep your dog on a leash or keep your cat inside.”
In the video, he goes into more detail about the pros and cons behind the use of AirTags in order to track pets.
