A mama dogs and her puppies were residing in an orchard and few people knew they were out there. The puppies were just weeks out, but the orchard was constantly threatened with coyotes.
As A Safefurr Place Animal Rescue shared, the orchard was “rampant with coyotes,” so it’s a good thing somebody noticed the tiny pups and called for help!
Once Sharon and Jeff Bradley spotted the dogs, they got in touch with Danny Spanks with A Safefurr Place Dog Rescue in Bakersfield, California almost immediately.
When Danny got involved, he learned that the mother dog of the family had just given birth to a litter of puppies just a few weeks before. He went to the orchard to investigate, but couldn’t find any sign of the dogs.
Luckily, he took the time to speak with Jeff and Sharon. The couple was more than happy to provide him with a specific location and it did not take long before the dogs were found.

Danny met the mother first, who he called a very sweet dog. She led him to the babies and seemed to sense that he was there to help out.
Thanks to the actions of Jeff and Sharon and Danny, the mama and her puppies were all taken in by the rescue to be cared for.
After evaluations and little TLC, the mama and her puppies all received a clean bill of health. Thankfully, their happy story doesn’t end there, either. All of the dogs were adopted and placed into loving forever homes!
It’s amazing what a little kind action can do.
