After two hours of working tirelessly, fire crews successfully freed a deaf and visually impaired dog that was stuck in a drainage pipe.
Dogs can quickly become a part of the family and most of us dog owners do our best to make sure they’re safe and cared for. However, despite the best efforts, sometimes our furry companions manage to get themselves into dangerous and scary situations.
That was the case for one dog who managed to get himself stuck in the middle of a drainage pipe.
According to a Facebook post by the St. Johns County Fire Rescue, a deaf and visually impaired dog accidentally got out of its house and went missing.

As soon as his owners noticed his absence, they immediately got to work searching for their beloved pooch. Thankfully, they were able to locate him, but he’d somehow managed to get himself stuck in the middle of a drainage pipe!
Of course, the poor dog was at-risk being stuck in the pipe and needed immediate help to be freed. His owners called for help and the fire crew arrived shortly to assess the situation and get to work.
The fire crew confirmed that the dog was stuck about in the middle of the drainage pipe. They worked tirelessly for two hours before successfully freeing the dog!
Thankfully, the dog was completely fine, just a bit scared. They said, “He was scared and tired but not injured. He was happy to be reunited with his family!”
We’re so happy he was successfully reunited with his owners! What an amazing rescue.
