When you have a pet in your life, you probably spend a considerable amount of time talking to them. You may even make up a voice for your pet so they can be part of a two-way conversation.
It seems as if talking to animals goes even further, and that becomes obvious in the case of Dutt McCarthy.
McCarthy came up with a solution that would fulfill that desire to speak with animals and she revived her farm that was struggling during the pandemic. Prior to the time that the coronavirus struck, McCarthy was selling livestock products and doing well.
However, the Lancashire farm was going down fast during COVID, but the farm owner decided to sell video conferences over Zoom and Skype with some of the resident goats.
The funny thing is, the new venture is doing great!

It started back in April when a rental ad was posted online on their website. She claimed that you could rent her goats for only £5, which was the self-proclaimed “Best deal ever.”
After putting the announcement online, McCarthy went to bed. She probably didn’t think that it would do well, but those video conference calls with Lola, Margaret, Sebastian, and other goats pulled a crowd. By the time she woke up in the morning, over 200 people had sent emails asking to take advantage of it.
It wasn’t just people in the Lancashire area who were taking part in these phone calls. It included individuals from Australia, the United States, Russia, China, and quite a few other countries around the world. The goats were participating in up to 200 video calls per day and people loved it!
Each goat has a special place on the farm website that includes its personal bio. The success that they saw prompted additional options, including upgraded packages and postcards from the goats.
Some people even donated money to the struggling farm, and in the end, it turned out to be a fantastic endeavor. The farmer even claims that the business model will continue after the pandemic is over.
