When Russell Jones broke his ankle, his friends and family were quick to rally around him. But nobody seemed to show their empathy for Russell’s situation quite like his beloved dog, Bill.
Bill, who is normally quite a lively pooch, started to develop a limp. Russell’s wife, Melissa, noticed the limp and began to get concerned that something was wrong with the dog.
Doing what any good dog owner would do, Russell and Melissa made an appointment and took Bill in for a check-up.
Much to their relief, the vet said he was the picture of perfect health. However, when they got home, they noticed he was limping again. Again, they took Bill to the vet and were, again, told he was a picture of perfect health.

Finally, it dawned on them – Bill only ever limped when he was around the injured Russell.
That is when they figured out that the gentle-hearted pooch was showing his sympathies for Bill’s injury!
How sweet is that?
The doting dog owner took to Facebook to share with his followers how warm and loving his dog is by writing, “Cost me £300 in vet fees and X-rays, nothing wrong just sympathy. Love him.”
Naturally, people fell in love with Bill and couldn’t believe how sweet and hilarious he is!
One person commented, “That’s too funny. Can’t beat the love of your dog 😜😍”
Another person joked that they should sign Bill up to be an actor.
