What is scarier than a giant huntsman spider in your car? Finding a whole family of them in your vehicle. One mother of three from Adelaide, Australia, was shocked to discover she wasn’t alone on her drive to a gas station when she found a large huntsman spider in her car on Christmas Day.
Emma immediately got rid of the spider, but soon she started to notice that other small spiders were appearing in her car. Nobody wants a spider-infested car, so Emma decided to do something about the problem.
As a solution, she decided to diffuse a bug bomb. However, she ended up revealing the horror that her car was full of spider webs.
Emma revealed to the Daily Mail Australia that she had just pulled up when she noticed something in the corner of her eye. “I really just stared at it for a while, thinking ‘what am I going to do with this thing?’ I tried to get it out while looking through the windscreen to create a barrier but it jumped and ended up on the glove box.”

She eventually was able to get it out of her car. But then, the nightmare proved to be far from over as she noticed over the span of the following days that there were baby spiders everywhere. She cited one incident where she was driving her kids and there were a few little baby Huntsman spiders wandering about. Her kids freaked out – and who can blame them – which led to Emma needing to find a solution.
Emma turned to the internet to find a solution to her spider problem. However, all the natural remedies that she came across didn’t help her spider problem. She had to use her husband’s car to go purchase a bug bomb, hoping that would be the answer she so desperately needed. While it did work, it also highlighted quite a horrific sight: Her car had been completely covered by spider webs.
She shared the photo online, and it eventually gained traction after radio host Cosi Andrew Costello shared the terrifying photos. Many people piled on with comments about the multiple streams of spider webs with many people commenting that Emma should’ve just torched her car. Either way, it’s a good thing that Emma ended up fixing her spider problem and she can hopefully drive around without any more eight-legged surprises.
