Elvis gets to go to work with me at a local pet supply store. He’s allowed to sleep on the counter while I’m working on the register.
Many people come in, walk right past him, and don’t notice that he’s a live dog laying on the counter. Sometimes we just have to slide him out of the way.

He now has his own fanbase that comes in just to pet him and love on him. He’s very content to have everyone pet him. Some of the regular customers will buy him treats. I’m so excited that I own him.
He was found on the streets in Louisiana and shipped up to Denver as part of a Flight to Freedom. He was about a year old when I adopted him, and he’s now 10. Elvis has made me a believer. I now understand what people see in their dogs. I never got it before.
He’s absolutely the best thing; he’s gotten me through the loss of my husband, a couple of my very best cats for children, and COVID. He really is the best companion. He has three cat siblings, and they all clean each other. I’m very blessed because of my animals.
