‘Vander was the runt of a fostered litter of four solid black kittens.
His siblings chewed on his ear, leaving a scar. ‘Vander was named for Evander Holyfield. He decided he would live with us instead of finding a new home. The border collie and tuxedo cat agreed Vander could stay.

‘Vander is what I call a “participater.” Whatever I do, wherever I go, ‘Vander goes. He loves to ride in a vehicle, especially with the window down so he can feel the breeze in his whiskers.
His hobbies include bird watching, fishing and cart surfing at pet stores. His grandma lived in assisted living a two-hour drive away and ‘Vander loved to go visit the folks there.
Once I pick up his halter and leash, he’s ready to travel. ‘Vander is a ninja, mini-panther, Nightfury dragon cross. His all-time favorite happy place is riding on the bow of a kayak. He demands to go out on the boat by standing at the garage door and yelling, “ME-OWT!”
