A tiny toddler had the most precious reaction to meeting a giant Great Dane and their interaction was caught on video!

Kernel the Great Dane was walking through the store with his owner, Alyssa Berkovitz, when the little toddler spotted him.

The small child is so mesmerized by the huge dog, he can’t take his eyes off him! He giggles when the dog moves and becomes so very excited when Alyssa says he can pet the dog.

In the background, you can hear the child’s parents saying that the Great Dane is a bit bigger than their dogs who happen to be tiny chihuahaus.

The kisses are coming from a different angle with Kernel!

The young boy doesn’t seem to mind and just seems thrilled that the dog is there to pet. Check out the adorable video below:

As it turns out, Kernel is a natural with young kids!

Alyssa shared a follow-up video of the dog meeting a second child and he’s so careful and caring. He may be massive, but he’s a gentle giant. Plus, the kids really seem to like him.

Kernel’s gentle spirit and obedience isn’t up for debate, either, since he successfully passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and proved his skills!

Beyond that, Kernel also acts a service dog for Alyssa’s complex post-traumatic stress disorder and as a therapy dog in the community.

He’s been battling End-Stage Ear Disease among other health issues, but as of now, Kernel is beating all the odds stacked against him and continuing to thrive. You can keep up with him on Instagram, @kernelthegreatdane.
