There is nothing quite like having some extra space to run. We appreciate having elbow room as humans and dogs certainly appreciate extra space as well.
Unfortunately, not all dogs have the opportunity to experience the extra space, and at times, they may be cramped in areas that are too small for their liking.
That was the case for an English mastiff named Caesar. He had grown up in an apartment with his human, Brooke. As a big dog, he made the best of the small area but always wanted more.
Caesar could experience everything he wanted in life when they moved to a new home with a big backyard. We can only imagine how overwhelming it must’ve been for Caesar to suddenly have all that extra space.
Fortunately, Adkins took a video of Caesar as he was checking out the new backyard. She captioned the video: “Watching your dog soak in his first home after an apartment.”
If you watch closely, you can almost hear the wheels turning in Caesar’s head. I think the captions to the video say it all.
If it isn’t enough that Caesar is enjoying looking out over his new yard, he looks back over her shoulders almost to thank his mother for the gift.

When talking to Newsweek, Adkins spoke about how much Caesar loves the yard. She said it took some time to adjust but he now gets the zoomies and runs to the back fence.
He will also be out in the yard, rain or shine.
