Meet Kash! Kash is a happy, silly boy who was at the Pima Animal Care Center way back in 2017 before returning to them as a stray. Unfortunately, his people didn’t come for him, so he’s looking for a new home where he can spend his days soaking up affection from a loving family. While Kash shares his kennel with another PACC pup at the moment, he was admittedly a bit nervous when initially meeting other dogs in playgroups.
Fellow Pet Pals
Naturally, he’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home with them to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone involved. Kash doesn’t want to make waves. He just wants to fit in. Kash has mixed reviews with cats and has reportedly done well with them, but he did not get along with one particular kitty in a short-term foster situation. Due to this, he may do best in a kitty-free home or would need a slow, well-managed introduction to any resident felines.
About Kash
He’s a neutered black and white boxer and Queensland Heeler mix that’s approximately 6 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. A volunteer favorite, here’s what they had to say about this sweet boy:
“Kash is eager to walk and is very good on a leash. He knows how to sit, stay and come. We worked on “look” together while walking. He did a great job learning, and by the end of our walk, he was looking to me for acknowledgment. He is very trainable and treat motivated. Kash is an adventurous dog and would love someone who would spend time working with him and take him hiking or on long walks. He is light on his feet and loves being called a good boy. He is also very snuggly and good with getting pets.”
Shelter Pets
Kash has only been at the shelter since Oct 28, 2022, this time around, but he’s sooooo ready to go home today! He’s in Kennel D209, and his ID# is A571871. If you are interested in a new hiking buddy, please email pacc.adopt@pima.gov with additional questions.
