As our dogs age we know that the day will come when we have to say goodbye, but that doesn’t make it any easier.

A pug named Noodle acquired millions of fans on TikTok and Instagram with his adorable face and for his “bones or no bones” predictions. Jonathan Graziano adopted Noodle seven years ago and decided to share the pug’s larger-than-life personality with the world.

On Saturday, Graziano shared the devastating news that Noodle had passed away. He died at home in his dad’s arms.

“This is incredibly sad, it’s incredibly difficult. It’s a day I always knew was coming but never thought would arrive,” stated heartbroken Graziano.

Noodle was 14 1/2 when he passed and his dad said, “Which is about as long as you can hope for a dog.”

The charismatic pug would let his fans know what kind of day it was based on how he was feeling. His dad would lift him up on is bed and if he remained standing it was a “bones” day, which meant to treat yourself and seize the day. However, if he plopped on his side, it was a “no bones” day which meant to chill at home and just be yourself.

Noodle was an instant mood booster and his fans looked forward to seeing what kind of day it was going to be. He brought a smile to the face of millions, even though he was grumpy half the time.

Graziano urges Noodle’s fans to celebrate him in this time of sorrow. “Thank you for loving him,” he wrote.

Noodle’s rescue story was recently shared on TikTok to encourage others to adopt a senior dog. “I don’t remember my life before him,” shared the doting dog dad. He saw a photo of the “regal man of a pug” and instantly decided to adopt him. He said, “it’s the best thing I’ve ever done,” and the rest is history.
