A little rescue kitten has found her loving forever home with some rescue pit bulls, but she thinks she’s one of them!

When Tawny rescued Wasabi the kitten, she wasn’t sure how the kitten would react to her two large dogs, or how her two dogs would react to a tiny kitten.

The two pitbulls, Keiko and Niko, were saved by a local rescue after their owner tried to sell them as fighting dogs. Tawny stepped in to adopt them both and save them for a life with an uncertain future.

In an interview with The Dodo, Tawny said she wasn’t sure about getting a kitten on top of the two dogs. She said, “At first I was hesitant to bring a kitten into our house.” She had “no idea” how introducing a kitten to the family would go, adding that “[Keiko and Niko] had never actually seen a cat before.”

However, once she made the decision and brought little Wasabi home, her fears disappeared entirely. The two rescue pitties welcomed Wasabi into the family and she fit right in!

Speaking with The Dodo, she said, “It seemed like the size difference didn’t matter. The fact that they were a dog didn’t matter.”

Given Wasabi’s “big dog” attitude, Tawny decided to simply treat her like one of the dogs and it seems Keiko and Niko did as well!

They cuddle together, play together, and even go on adventures together. When Tawny decided to go camping, she decided to take Wasabi along for the ride in addition to Keiko and Niko. She figured, who says you can’t take a cat camping?

Not only did Wasabi seem to love hanging out with her canine brothers, but she even went swimming in the river with them! That’s one adventurious cat.
