It takes a village…

Countless volunteers helped load and unload a plane with 102 cats and 36 dogs that flew from Louisiana to Washington. The at-risk shelter pets aboard the October Flight to Freedom will now get the second chance they deserve.

When they touched down in Washington, the animals were welcomed by friendly, smiling faces and transported to shelters with adopters waiting to meet them.

Dogs with rough starts in life, like Valda, are getting a fresh start and will soon find her forever home. She has transformed into the playful puppy she was meant to be.

All the pets, including the sweet feline named Craft left overcrowded shelters and are embarking on the next chapter in their lives which will be filled with love and joy.

Craft spent the first eight years alongside a craftsman after he wandered into his shop one day. The man enjoyed the friendly cat’s company but when his heath started to fail, he wanted to make sure his feline friend was cared for – so he brought him to the shelter.

Craft has already found his forever home!

This life-saving Flight to Freedom wouldn’t have been possible without your support, so thank you! The dogs send kisses and the cats purr loudly in appreciation.
