We live in a world that is uncertain in many different ways. We might be doing quite fine at one moment and then in the next moment, we lose almost everything.

It’s a sad reality, and perhaps what is even sadder is the fact that our pets are often the ones who suffer the most from it. That being said, a loving parent to a furry family member would never think about abandoning them or leaving them behind just because times got tough.

Unfortunately, that isn’t the case in every family, and in San Bernardino, it was a situation that little Ares the cat had to deal with. It seems as if his family had to pack up and move quickly and when they did, they left Ares behind to take care of himself.

We are happy to say that Jainaf, who helps out at the rescue, Cats of San Bernardino was there to help out.

According to The Dodo, the little bundle of fur was full of mange and was scarred as a result of living on the street for two years, but his heart was still looking for love.

Ares had been adopted as a kitten by the first family who cared for him temporarily. When they left, they did so without the feline with them and he had almost lost hope. When he came to realize that there were still some loving people out there, however, he couldn’t hold back his excitement.

Ares was put into foster care and they diligently searched for a home so that he could have a loving family. That is when Monique found out about him and she couldn’t believe that no one had adopted him.

Monique decided to bring Ares to her home and, after putting in her application, she opened her doors wide and Ares walked in, almost as if he had been there all along.
