The Kansas City Zoo has outdone itself with its full-on technicolor GloWild light display, and one TikToker recorded the dazzling event for all to see. It isn’t unusual for zoos around the country to put on vibrant nighttime light shows for visitors to enjoy, especially during the holidays. But the KC Zoo’s is over the top this year. So much so that TikToker @yourkchomegirl couldn’t resist recording her experience and sharing it on the popular video platform. Needed to be seen to be believed, the wild neon lights make for an outrageous kaleidoscope of colors. Set to Lo-fi hip hop — NAO-K, you can see children careening through the exhibit surrounded by stunning depictions of glowing wildlife and local landmarks.

Kansas City Zoo

According to the Zoo, the immersive nighttime event is “a lantern festival like no other, featuring massive handmade steel and silk works of art depicting animals, local landmarks, botanicals, and Asian cultural creations. GloWild will be the largest event of its kind in the Midwest!” Whether it’s the largest or not, it will certainly be the most intense and visually stunning. Running from September 1 to December 11, the zoo is located at 6800 Zoo Drive, Kansas City, MO 64132. If you live in the area or plan on visiting during this timeframe, it’s a definite must-see for all ages.
