Animals are just as sensitive as people, and they often need the same emotional care that we require.

It never hurts to be nice and sweet to them – especially the rescued animals. They often go through so much trauma, all they’re looking for is a little love when they arrive at a rescue.

Luckily for most animals, the people who run rescue organizations are animal people, and they want to do their best to accommodate new rescues and make them feel at home. One couple in Ohio has the sweetest tradition for their rescued animals.

The couple is hard at work running a donkey sanctuary. But in their rescue, they have a habit of singing to their rescues.

Whenever the couple brings in young rescued donkeys, the animals always get a song. In fact, they all get sung to while also being rocked.

It’s a way of not only comforting them, but the practice also helps to raise up the donkeys to be comfortable receiving affection from people.

As the sanctuary’s owners explained to ViralHog, “Our donkeys love music and singing, even if we don’t know the words. As long as we are outside in the pasture with them they are happy donkeys.”
