When a little baby goat named Lily got rejected by her mother at birth, she was instead taken in by the people at Friendly Family Fields Farm in North Carolina.

Through a series of events, Lily has since grown up thinking that she’s a cat rather than a goat!

Lily arrived at Friendly Family Fields Farm when she was only five days old, and because she was so young, it wasn’t clear if she was going to survive growing up.

As a result, she was kept inside the house, and because she was indoors, she started making friends with the other animals, including the family cat. In fact, she grew to be quite obsessed with the cat and would follow him around everywhere. Then, she started imitating the feline.

As her family explained to The Dodo, “Meet Our newest rescue. She is a five day old baby goat! She was born one of three triplets, and rejected by her mother after birth. This baby is TINY weighing in at just over 2lbs. It’s a miracle that she survived. Despite all the factors working against her, she is so bright and energetic! She loves to jump and run and play, and she refuses to let anything stop her.”

They added, “She started moving on to the cats and trying to befriend the cats. Our one older cat Bean took her under his wing and would curl up with her on the couch and sleep.”

When Lily got older, she was eventually moved outside but even then she went on to befriend all the farm cats on the property. And to this day, she thinks she’s part feline. It’s so cute!
