Much like people, all dogs are different and they each have their unique quirks and personalities. With that comes individual preferences, likes, and dislikes.

Some dogs enjoy playing fetch, while others would rather lounge around. Some dogs love getting wet while others refuse to go out in the rain. And some dogs love going to the groomers while others will fight it tooth and nail.

A golden retriever in California falls into the latter category.

A dog owner spotted the golden retriever outside a Petco building near the grooming department.

The person told ViralHog, “I had finished my dog’s annual check-up at Vetco inside of this Petco building and was about to drive out of the parking lot when I saw this older lady struggling a little bit with their golden retriever outside of the grooming department.”

The golden retriever was refusing to go into the grooming department, despite its owner’s best efforts to pull the dog toward the door.

The person watching the event decided to pull out their camera and film the situation unfolding. They said, “I felt that I related to this struggle with my own dog and found the situation hilarious, and I could not resist taping the event.”

Eventually, the dog even tried to run away toward the parking lot and its owner had to intervene.

In the end, it looks like the dog did make it inside the groomers. Hopefully his appointment went well!
