There is no denying that cats are entertaining creatures.

Their mannerisms and attitudes can provide us with plenty to keep us engaged.

There is so much to cover about cats, that one pair of YouTubers have come up with a series of videos that explore the actions and habits of cats in a rather humorous manner.

While they have been on something of a hiatus, both Paul Klusman and TJ Wingard – two professional cat engineers – have created another video that explores the ways that cats guard against unwanted scratches on their backsides.

It’s something we’re all guilty of with our cats. They’re so cute and fluffy that it’s hard to resist petting them, and we often pet all of them, including their haunches.

But it’s not always welcomed by cats, and that’s how people end up getting bitten or scratched. We’ve all been there, and we’ve all had to learn our lesson.

Both Klusman and Wingard are up for explaining the “warning system” behind the BUTPAWS.

As explained in the video below, “We are all familiar with cat location and alarm functions including birds, ….there’s spiders, sun beams, wake up, severe wake up, and armpit hair. An exciting new alarm function provides a defense against unwanted pets of the posterior region called ‘buttock tactile proximity alert warning system’ or BUTPAWS.”
