Geese aren’t known for being the friendliest pets. In fact, they’ve got a reputation for being rather aggressive.

Growing up, we were allowed to get almost any animal we wanted as pets – except for geese. The risk of dealing with goose attacks was too high.

Our neighbor’s dog actually saved a young child down the street from a vicious goose attack!

Despite their reputation, they can occasionally be sweet and cuddly. At least, they can be when they want to. Wally the goose loves his owner and shows him all the affection and even gives him hugs. But when it comes to anyone else? Wally goes full attack mode!

In fact, a video captured Wally’s changing personality perfectly when it showed the goose hugging and snuggling with his owner before attacking the next person!

Mat Temmerman shared the video about Wally the goose on YouTube, writing: “Wally the goose is nice to his owner, but not so to everyone else. He was raised from a chick by my brother, and will defend that relationship with his beak. Wally flaps proudly in victory to his three cheering friends after the successful attack.”

The video was initially shared in 2017, but Mat shared an update in 2021, saying: “Wally continues to live happily and defend his little hamlet outside Seattle.”

We’re glad to know he’s still doing well and maintained his spicy attitude!
