People from around the world have a heart for dogs and they would do anything to make sure those dogs were well cared for.
It doesn’t matter if they are a pet in their own home or a stray in their community, they try to ensure they are well looked after.
Unfortunately, that isn’t the way in all areas, and in some cases, stray dogs are not treated well. In fact, they are considered to be more of a nuisance, and sometimes, they are abused without any real thought.
That is what happened in a Cape Town neighborhood when a stray dog was scalded with hot water.
It seems as if members of that community did not want her around, thinking that she was more of a pest than anything so they threw the hot water on her.
As you can imagine, the little dog was skittish and didn’t want to be around people but fortunately, there was a group of people who wanted to be around her. They were a dog rescue called Sidewalk Specials and they came in to save the day.
After capturing the dog and bringing her to a veterinarian, they found out that it was worse than they thought. She had some third-degree burns from the scalding hot water but she also had cancer. It was an advanced case of TVT (transmittable venereal tumor) and she was in need of support.
We are happy to say that the donors who back Sidewalk Specials were all too happy to help Rosie, the little dog. It took a number of months for her to recover but when you see her in the video, you can’t help but be amazed at the transformation.
I think most people would agree that dogs deserve a chance. They may not have the best life and it’s a shame because dogs have so much to offer.
Rosie is now off of the streets and doing much better. In fact, she is even in a forever home with a family that will take care of her and make sure she never gets mistreated again.
You can check out her rescue and transformation in the video below!
