A golden retriever in Polk City, Iowa was caught on camera mean-mugging himself in the mirror and he’s gone viral for it!

The goofy one-year-old pup, Benson, is described by his owner as “ALWAYS being a ham,” but mean-mugging himself might just take things to the next level.

Speaking with ViralHog, Benson’s owner said that she recently started working from home and she has her “furry coworker” to keep her company.

Right by her office set-up is a mirror that Benson often lays near, but he’s never taken much notice of it – until recently. She said:

“I was working and kept hearing him making noises behind me. When I turned around he was making faces at himself in the mirror, and I managed to catch it on video.”

She added that it was the first time she’s ever caught him making faces in the mirror and she thinks he’s “just now become aware of himself in the mirror.”

Madie shared the video on TikTok where it went viral, and thousands of people commented on the video saying how cute and funny Benson is.

In the video, Madie called Benson the “Gold medalist in the mean mug Olympics,” which seems pretty fitting.
