Cats and dogs are notorious enemies, but sometimes, they learn to live together.

Every so often though, even the best of pet friends get into some spats, and cats are usually the ones coming out on top.

However, one feisty cat was left confused and unsure after an encounter with the family dog.

In a hilarious exchange captured on video, the cat and dog can be seen hanging out on the staircase when the cat decides to get a little swat in at the dog.

The cat whacks the dog right in the head and it seems to trigger some kind of response because the dog immediately goes nuts!

The video was shared by TikTok user @krazy.kute after he added a well-fitting voiceover to the animal video. In his words, the cat pushed a “turbo button” on the dog.

The dog sprints up the stairs and does endless “zoomies” while the cat watches and seems both confused and stunned. It definitely wasn’t the reaction the cat was expecting!

Just a guess, but we can’t imagine the cat will be swatting at the dog’s head again anytime soon.
