A woman in Hawkinge, Kent is being praised a hero after using quick reflexes to save her dog from a hard, 20-foot-fall landing.

The whole incident was captured on CCTV footage and shows Rachel Green standing outside her home talking to a man, when suddenly, her demeanor changes.

According to The Highland Sun, Green noticed a reflection change in the window above and that’s when she realized her 6-year-old border collie, Florence, had pushed open the bathroom window.

She can be heard yelling at the dog to “get back” before she runs over to catch him – and just in time! It seems the dog got too close to the edge of the window and fell out, but Rachel was right there ready to catch him.

She managed to save him from a hard fall onto cement and he ended up uninjured.

According to the Daily Mail, Florence was “absolutely fine” following the incident.

Green added that Florence has become “clingy since the pandemic and working from home, she always wants to be by my side.” Of course, she never expected him to take things so far and noted that he’d never done anything like that before.
