We all have a best friend. As adults, we probably don’t get to see them as often as we’d like. Life just gets in the way, you know? Or a whole ocean and landmass if you’re someone like me who has moved countries.
Either way, sometimes getting to spend time with the platonic person we love most isn’t always the easiest. It’s something that has to be planned out in advance, and the wait time can sometimes be weeks or even months.
But once we do get to see our best friend, it’s like no time has passed and that’s the best feeling in the world. Of course, when we do initially see them, we probably do a little happy dance of our own, and it’s the same for our pets.
They also don’t get to see their best friends as often as they’d like either, since everything is dependent on the schedules of their owners. For them, it’s very much like when we were kids – waiting on mom to set up the playdates.
But for one Reddit user, he just had to capture a rather emotional reunion between two besties. The Redditor, u/iamnotvalhalla, uploaded a video of his dog seeing his best friend after a long seven months apart.
Imagine, seven months without seeing your best friend! The Redditor wasn’t sure what to expect when they saw each other again.
At first, he wasn’t sure if the two dogs would remember one another. In fact, when they first see each other in the distance, there wasn’t a whole lot of interest happening on either dog’s part. But then, as they get a little closer, the dogs are able to make each other out, and instantly, the recognition happens. I was just beautiful!
“Oh, they remember each other!” the owner says as his dog pulls at her leash towards the other dog, desperate to say hello.
