A milkman in Sudbury, Suffolk has been convicted of animal cruelty after surveillance cameras caught him cruelly kicking a hedgehog away from a porch.

53-year-old David Herring was tried and convicted after homeowners discovered the footage and sent it to the RSPCA to investigate.

According to The Metro, the little hedgehog was eating food left out by Ellen Burrows, the owner of the home.

When Herring arrived early in the morning when it was still dark, he spotted the hedgehog and kicked it off the porch. That would’ve been bad enough, but he didn’t stop there.

He proceeded to kick the hedgehog further from the house, delivering two sickening blows to the poor animal with his foot.

Speaking with The Sun, Burrows said:

“When my husband showed me the video of the milkman kicking this defenceless hedgehog for no reason, I was furious. You could see him digging it out with his foot and then kicking it down the path so it rolled a bit. Then he kicked it again straight down the path out to the front of our house.”
