A homeless man’s life has been turned around for the better after he was caught celebrating his dog’s birthday on the streets.
It all started in Bucaramanga, Colombia when a man named Choco was seen laying against some steps with his two dogs. The sun was setting and a passerby stopped to watch the happy trio.
It quickly became evident that the man was throwing a doggy birthday celebration for one of his pups. They each had birthday hats on and even had a small cake!
The person filmed the sweet moment before approaching Choco to ask about his situation. As it turns out, Choco and his two dogs, Shaggy and Nena, had been living on the streets for a few years after escaping an abusive home. Life hadn’t been easy, but Choco made sure his dogs were loved and fed.
After a video of their birthday celebration was shared online, it quickly went viral and people wanted to help Choco and his dogs get on their feet. Donations poured in and it wasn’t long before Choco had a place to live with Shaggy and Nena!
He was gifted a phone to document his journey on Instagram, and he already has over 184,000 followers.
His life is a far cry from what it used to be, and it’s all thanks to the love and dedication he showed for his dogs.
It seems that life has come full circle for Choco, Shaggy, and Nena because he got to celebrate their birthdays in a much bigger way!
He shared photos of new birthday celebration and it looks quite extravagant! They’ve got ballons, hats, cake, and a whole doggy picnic:
