Many people bring unusual pets home because they feel as if they are adorable.

Although that is the case, they also soon lose interest and, at times, they may abandon the pet to care for themselves.

It seems as if that may have been the case for a particular duck that was found at a local pond. A man was out fishing when the duck came over to him and started behaving strangely.

It just wouldn’t leave his side and soon, another fisherman came up to say that someone had driven up and dropped the duck off before driving away.

The duck would’ve had a very difficult time living in the wild. It was obvious that he was domesticated and needed someone to rescue him. That is when he decided to bring the duck home, name him Roo, and make him a part of the herd.

Roo loves being around his dog family and they have many adventures together. He even can be seen wearing a dog harness, just wanting to be part of the group.

It’s amazing what people can do when they open their hearts in their homes to care for one of these animals.

Now, Roo can live her best life with her new family.
