A puppy buried under rubble is alive thanks to the heroic efforts of Ukrainians cops.
The terrified pup was covered with debris after invading Russian forces shelled the village of Mykhailivka, in Donetsk Oblast, in eastern Ukraine.
The 77-year-old owner miraculously survived the shelling and was panicking when he couldn’t find his beloved dog admid the debris.
Law enforcement officers refused to give up, searching everywhere for the pup. Once they heard a squeal, they realized that the puppy was still alive, and quickly got to work to save his life.
The Donetsk Regional Police and rescuers worked together to dig the dog out of the rubble before reviving him as his worried elderly owner watched nearby.
“Every life is important – this is the slogan of the police and rescuers of Donetsk Oblast,” the Donetsk Regional Police said.
Both the pup and his owner received medical treatment, and thankfully both are recovering well.
“The elderly man, who almost died from the Russian orcs’ bombs, is seen holding his rescued puppy,” the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service (SES) of Ukraine said. “There is so much life in this video. So much kindness and courage of those who continue to perform their duties under daily shelling.”
