When Larisa with Fond Leona came across an abandoned dog on the side of the road, she didn’t hesitate to stop and help.

The poor pup, who they named Bimul, had been dumped by his owner when the owner found out the dog was sick.

Bimul was suffering from a rare genetic condition known as muscle atrophy. He couldn’t walk and was clearly in pain as he lay stranded on the roadside.

After taking him in for an examination, rescuers discovered that all four of his legs had problems. They didn’t know if he’d ever be able to walk again, but they decided to give it their best chance.

Bimul began regular therapy, exercise, and massage. He used special tools and orthopedic devices to help speed his healing journey along. Eventually, he was able to go home with his rescuers and slowly started to walk.

At first, he could only walk a little bit for short amounts of time. But now, he can run full force! By looking at him, you’d never guess he went through so much.

Not only did Bimul heal physically, but he opened up a lot emotionally too. He learned to love his rescuers and put his trust in them – something that took a lot of patience and time.

We’re not sure why Bimul’s previous owner decided to ditch him instead of getting him proper medical care, but it all worked out great in the end for the sweet dog.
